After some decades on the West coast, I returned to Maine, somewhat unexpectedly. I came for a Christmas visit, but stayed to help my elderly Mom.

I kept a blog for some years about life in the Pacific Northwest, more specifically, life in the Puget Sound area. This site, Something Downeast is in some ways an homage to the earlier Something Pacific.
